Simplify the following:
1/4 + 2/3
Put 1/4 + 2/3 over the common denominator 12. 1/4 + 2/3 = 3/12 + (4×2)/12:3/12 + (4×2)/12
4×2 = 8:
3/12 + 8/12
3/12 + 8/12 = (3 + 8)/12:
(3 + 8)/12
3 + 8 = 11:
Answer: 11/12
