To be parallel, all the equation needs is the same slope as y = 7x - 8. And to go through an x intercept of 4, all we need to do is make the equation equal -4 when you input 0 for y. Using this information, we can make this equation:


7x=y-4

We can simplify this down by dividing by seven on both sides.


x=1/7y-4/7

And that is your answer!
