Help I’m crying!!! He and she are competing in a 42 mile race. He has already finished 18 miles of the race and is traveling at a constant speed of 12 miles per hour. She starts at 16 miles per hour. Equation: 18+12x= 0+ 16x (x= 4.5) will she catch up to him before the race is over?

No, He is already 18 miles ahead of her, if she were to run faster than Him it would take 2.62 hours.
