Match the following equation with the type of chemical reaction.

(a)HCl + NaOH ---> H2O + NaCl

(b)HBr ---> H2 + Br2

(c)H2 + O2 ---> H2O

(d)C2H6 + O2 ---> H2O + CO2

(e)Al + H2SO4 ---> H2+ Al2(SO4)3

1.Synthesis
2.Decompostion
3.Single- Displacement
4.Double- Replacement
5.Combustion
Can you match these!!?

The general form of a synthesis reaction is A + B → AB
E)H2 + O2 ---> H2O synthesis

The general form of a decomposition reaction is AB → A + B
B)HBr ---> H2 + Br2

The general form of a single replacement is AB + C → AC + B
D)Al + H2SO4 ---> H2+ Al2(SO4)3

The general form of a double replacement is AB + CD → AD + CB
A)HCl + NaOH ---> H2O + NaCl

Combusion. usually involves oxygen and heat
C)C2H6 + O2 ---> H2O + CO2

A is is a double replacement reaction (Cations and anions switch)

B is a Decomposition reaction (Breaks down into simpler substances)

C is a Synthesis or Combination reaction (both are the same thing)

D is a Combustion reaction (compound made of carbon and hydrogen reacts with oxygen)

and E is a Single replacement reaction (Cations trade)

Hope this helps! :)
