c^2=a^2+b^2

where a and b are the legs of the triangle

and

c is the hypotenuse

From the given problem :

The legs are 2 and 3

Using the formula above, the hypotenuse will be :


\begin{gathered} c^2=2^2+3^2 \\ c^2=4+9 \\ c^2=13 \end{gathered}

Take the square root of both sides :


c=\sqrt[]{13}

The correct answer is Choice B. √13
