Just like they said they need now people to watch the news so if something tragic or dangerous is happening they will get people to watch it just like the example of the person on the roof.

Because in order to get viewers, they need interesting or scary or tragic things. So they share a glimpse of it at the beginning of the show, then show you it at the end so you can watch the whole show
