What are some reasons to be a patriot in the revolutionary war

1. Acts and Taxes- The taxes angered many colonists, "no representation without presentation!" they yelled.The Sugar Act, was tax on mollases which angered the colonists. The Stamp Act was taxes on newpapers, lead, paper, paint, tea..
2. The Intolerable Acts- Even thought the colonists dumped the tea into the harbor, everyone was shocked of Britains' harsh responce to to the Bosten Tea Party. The intlolerable Acts closed the Bosten Port, making it difficult for Massachussets to get food

The king was making unreasonable rules and the colonist wanted to be free not be under the kings rule
