(45/65) = 500/x) Cross multiply and you get (500)(65) = 45x. Divide by 45 both sides and you get 722.22, which equals 722.
Inverse relationship is (5)(24) = 15x. This is 120 = 15x. Divide by 15 both sides and you get x = 8.
