Use the distance formula to find the length of one of the longer lines and do the same for one of the shorter ones.
Longer line using the points (-5,5) and (0,-5):-
length = sqrt ( 5-- 5)^2 + ( -5-0)^2 = sqrt 125
short line:- using the points (-5,5) and (-1,7)
length = sqrt (-5--1)^2 + (5-7)^2 ) = sqrt 29
So the area of the rectangle = sqrt125 * sqrt29 = 60.21 to nearest hundredth
