Answer: 8.75 in.

Explanation:

The ratio is 1 : 35. Meaning if the left side (represented by the number 1 here) where to be changed to three, you would update the right side(35) to keep the scale accurate by multiplying the new number by 35.

1 = 35,

1 is increased three-fold (1*3),

3 = (?)

35 * 3 = 105 in.

105 in. / 12 = 8.75 ft.

Remember to convert inches to feet, since the question is asking for the answer in the unit of feet.

(Edit: Figured out how to bottom line it. Basically, since both values are equal, what you apply to one side, you apply to eachother in order to avoid altering the ratio.)

But to be short, here's an example:

x = 2y,

x has been increased five-fold (1*5=5),

5x = (?)

2 * 5 = 10

5x = 10y

Again:

3m = 25e,

m has been increased four-fold (3*4=12),

12m = (?)

4 * 25 = 100

12m = 100e

Hope this helps^^
