Area is just length x width, (A = l x w) so we just work backwards.

599.5 / 22 = 27.25

Area = 599.5 sq ft

Length = A ÷ W

Width = 22 ft

Divide the Area by Width to find out what the Length of the garden is.

599.5/22 = 27.25

To justify your answer, you can multiply 22 by 27.25.

22 × 27.25 = 599.5
