In a neutralization reaction, where does water come into play

Neutralization is a chemical reaction in which an acid and a base react with each other to form salt and water. Acid+Base->Salt+Water The H+ ions from Acid and OH- ions from Base react together to generate water as an end product. e.g. HCl+ NaOH-> NaCl+H2O
