The area of shape 1 = Area of a rectangle with the dimensions 12 cm and 4.5 cm
So, area of 1 = 12 * 4.5 = 54 cm^2
The area of shape 2 = Area of a rectangle with the dimensions 2 cm and 5 cm
so, the area of 2 = 2 * 5 = 10 cm^2
so, the total area = 54 + 10 = 64 cm^2
