Just because an independent clause can stand on its own doesn't mean it has to have it in every sentence

A dependant clause cannot stand alone in a sentence it has to be attached to an independent clauses to form a sentence. A dependant clause contains a subject and a verb but it's not a complete thought. Hope this helps
