To find the measure of the hedges we need to apply the hypothenuse, so:

\begin{gathered} h^2=\text{ c}^2\text{ + c}^2 \\ h^2(ED)=\text{ 50}^2\text{ + 50}^2 \\ h^2=\text{ 2500 + 2500} \\ h^2=\text{ 5000} \\ \sqrt[\placeholder{⬚}]{h^2}=\text{ }\sqrt[\placeholder{⬚}]{5000} \\ h=\text{ 70.71 feet} \\ \\ \end{gathered}

The hedges of ED, AE, BC will be:

70.71\text{ + 70.71 feet + AE =}141.42\text{ feet + AE}

So, they will require more than 140 feet of hedges, therefore their numbers are not reasonable because they were not taking into account the hedge AE, just with hedges ED and BC there are 141 feet.
