for the first question, all you have to do is substitute the values. for example g(x)=-5x+2 becomes g(-1)=-5(-1)+2

1c) -5(0) + 2 = 2
1d) -5(5) + 2 = -23

2a) 2(-3) + 2 = -4
2b) 2(6) + 2 = 14
2c) 2(-1) + 2 = 0
2d) 2(4) + 2 = 10

3a) (-4)^2 + 4(-4) - 1 = -1
3b) (8)^2 + 4(8) - 1 = 95
3c) (-1)^2 + 4(-1) - 1 = -4
3d) (1)^2 + 4(1) - 1 = 4

4a) 3(2)^2 - 5(2) = 2
4b) 3(-8)^2 - 5(-8) = 232
4c) 3(7)^2 - 5(7) = 112
4d) 3(-1)^2 - 5(-1) = 8

Basically, whatever number they give to you in parenthesis replaces x in the equation you’re given. Hope this helped!
