If the plant has leaves that appear to be blue-green, it means that the photosynthetic pigment reflects the green and blue light/radiation from the visible spectrum, or the radiation between 450-570 nm from the visible spectrum. A white light is composed of all colours, the whole visible spectrum, therefore, when white light is put over the plant's leaves, the leaves will reflect a blue-green colour and absorb all the other colours.
