The standard error of the mean is computed by: s/sqrtn

Where:

S is the standard deviation

N is the sample size

So in our problem, standard deviation is 14 while the sample mean is 49.

Using the formula given above and plugging in the given:

Standard error = s / sqrt n

= 14 / sqrt 49

= 14 / 7

= 2
