Does gatsby love daisy, or does he love the lifestyle she represents? Is she only his ticket to the upper classes? If so, does Gatsby realize this?

I feel lik gastby loved daisy. Bc he used to throw parties hoping she would show up so he could see her again. I don’t think she’s his only ticket to the upper class bc look at all he has and all the people he knows.
