a whole is 3/3.
now, the coat has been discounted by 1/3, that means the new price is 2/3 of the regular price.
now, if the regular price is $123, how much is 2/3 of 123? well is just the product,

1/3 of 123 is 41
123 - 41 = 82
The sale price of the coat is $82
And that answers your question!
