we have

1.5(x+4)-3=4.5(x-2)

Applying distributive property both sides

1.5x+1.5*4-3=4.5x-4.5*2

1.5x+6-3=4.5x-9

Group terms that contain the same variable, and move the constant to the opposite side of the equation

4.5x-1.5x=6-3+9

3x=12

Divide by
3 both sides

x=4

therefore

the answer is

x=4
