Law of Syllogism:
If a ⇒ b and b ⇒ c then a ⇒ c is true
A must always lead to C if the law of syllogism applies
Using the statements given
if two lines intersect and form right angles, the lines are perpendicular.
a = two lines intersect and form right angles
b = lines are perpendicular
then we have
if two lines are perpendicular, they intersect and form 90° angles.
b = two lines are perpendicular
c = they intersect and form 90° angles.
so we must have
a ⇒ c
a = two lines intersect and form right angles
c = they intersect and form 90° angles.
If two lines intersect and form right angles then they intersect and form 90° angles.
