(5x+12)+(3x+8)=180 combine likes terms 5x+3x=8x 12+8=20 rewrite
8x+20=180 subtract 20 from both sides 180-20=160 rewrite 8x=160 then divide 8 from both sides 160/8=20 rewrite X=20, so C is your answer
Hope this helps have a lovely nite, and a good Friday and good week and good year!!! Good luck in school!

Answer: The correct option is C.

Step-by-step explanation:

In the given figure we can say that the triangle ABC is an isosceles triangle, because two sides AB and AC of the triangle are same.

In a isosceles triangle the angles corresponding to the same sides are equal. Therefore,

\angle ABC =\angle ACB=(3x+8)^(\circ)

It is noticed that angle ABC and exterior angle B lies on a straight line it means they are supplementary angles and their sum is 180 degree.

(5x+12)+(3x+8)=180

Combine like terms.

8x+20=180

Subtract both sides by 20.

8x=160

Divide both sides by 8.

x=20

The value of x is 20. Therefore the correct option is C.
