In order to find the number of solutions, we first must solve the equation.

2x+4=2x+4
2x=2x
x=x

When x=x, we can use infinetly many solutions. For example if we try the value x=4, we can input it into the equation.

2(4)+4=2((4)+2)
8+4=2(6)
12=12

Since we got an answer that is true, we can say confidently there are one solutions. This remains true for all real values of x.
