There are many different breathing exercises a person can do from sitting in a chair. These exercises can come from the practice of yoga and meditation. Chair yoga is just as effective as doing regular yoga and will help improve your mindset, well-being and overall function. Pranayama is a great one to practice will seated in a chair. The breathing technique Pranayama is done by controlling your breath. You can breathe in for 30 seconds through one side of the nose and breathe out for 30 seconds out the same side of the nose. You can then repeat this exercise using the other side of your nose. This is a great technique to relax. Enjoy!
