The answer is most likely A) because the colonists back then did not want to get ruled by the king and wanted everything to be equal and they were also escaping from persecution of their religion and beliefs

Answer:

" do enact.. such just and equal laws, ordinances, acts, constitutions and officers" ( A )

Step-by-step explanation:

This phrase from the Mayflower compact was a signal that the king of The colonists fleeing from Europe because of religious persecution to America to start a new life should live in America peacefully under their own laws and constitutions and even develop their own representative Governments. but the Mayflower compact required them to be loyal to the Crown of King James.

This is in contrast to what the Colonists wanted they wanted self Governance without been loyal to the crown.
