What is the slope between the two point sides (-8,-2) and (0,-5)

To find the slope of two given points...

slope (m) = y2 - y1/ x2 - x1
So that means the y coordinate of the second point minus the y coordinate of the first point, over, the x coordinate of the second point minus the x coordinate of the first point

In this case m = (-2) - (-5) / (-8) - (0)
m = 3 / -8
The slope is -3/8

Hope this helps :)

Slope = (y1 - y2)/(x1 - x2)
Slope = (-2 - -5)/(-8 - 0)
Slope = (-2 +5)/(-8)
Slope = 3/-8
