Pru and Piper have apples is ratio 5:3 Let No. of apples with Pru = 5a and no. of apples with Piper = 3a and no. of apples with Phoebe = 4a 5a - 3a = 24 2a = 24 a=12 No. of apples with Phoebe = 4x12=48 Hence Phoebe has 48 apples.
