Order of operations rules (PEMDAS) require that you mult. and div. BEFORE you add or subtr.
Thus, in
23+4⋅2−7, you must mult. 4 times 2, obtaining 8, and then rewriting the problem as
23+8−7, which yields 31-7, or 24 (answer).
