Meg initially has 3 hours of pop music and 2 hours of classical music in her collection. Every month onwards, the hours of pop music in her collection is 5% more than what she had the previous month. Her classical music does not change. Which function shows the total hours of music she will have in her collection after x months?

f(x) = 2(0.05)x + 3
f(x) = 3(0.05)x + 2
f(x) = 2(1.05)x + 3
f(x) = 3(1.05)x + 2
I thought it would be the third one but I saw someone say it was the 1st one on another question just wanting to verify

I think it is the 4th one.
She has 3 hrs of pop music in the beggining.
Next month she will have 3hrs she already has and + 3*0.05 .
3hrs + 3*0.05hrs = 3*1.05 hrs
To this 3 * 1.05 hrs we add 2 hrs of classical and we get 3*(1.05) hrs + 2 hrs

By process of elimination, we know that classical music is not changing and there are 2 hours so we know we have a function that has a +2. That means the 1st and 3rd are out. Let's take a look at what else we know. We know Meg started with 3 hours and each month is 5% more than previous month so it would look like this:
(3+.05 (3))x +2
3 (1+.05)x+2 3 is a common factor so we factored it out
3 (1.05)x + 2 we added like terms

Answer: 3 (1.05)x+2
