Which of these resources from conquered lands of the major contributor to Rome's economy growth? A merchant B metal C technology or D taxes

D taxes. They taxed heavily

Taxes is the most appropriate answer. Rome wasn't technologically advanced. There were some merchants, but Rome wouldn't survive merely on their earnings. Metal simply makes no sense. Thus, that rules out all of the answers, except TAXES.
