#1: This phrase is an alliteration. An altercation is made when the same sound is repeated 2 or more times at the beginning of consecutive words. (ex. Princess Penelope. the Wicked Witch.)

#2: This phrase is an Idiom. An idiom is an expression which has a meaning of its own. (ex. Sick as a dog. High as a kite.)
