Okay. In the route with one turn, 7 7/20 + 9 17/20 is 17 24/20 or 17 1/5 in simplest form. In the other route, 7 7/20 + 3 13/20 + 6 19/20 is 17 19/20. The shortest route from Hampton to Belmont is 17 1/5 miles.
