Your job here is to simplify the inequality
4d + > 1 + 5d.
We want d to be positive, so subtract 4d from both sides:
4d - 4d > 1 + 5d - 4d, or
0 > 1 + d
Solve for d: subtract 1 from both sides:
-1 > d, or d < -1
