To determine the percent yield of benzoic acid, you would first determine the theoretic yield. The theoretic yield is (1.333 + 7.122 + 15.933) this equals 24.388 grams The mass of benzoic acid obtained was 4.66 grams which is the actual yield. So to determine the percent yield, you would divide the actual yield by the theoretical ( 4.66/24.388) and then multiply by 100 to give the percent yield 19.108%
