Answer:

<A=60°, x=12, y=6√3

Explanation:

<A= 180 - (<B+<C)

angles in a triangle add up to 180°

<B=90°, right angle, <C=30°, given

<A=180-(90+30)

<A=180-120

<A=60°

Side x.

Using the theorem

Side opposite 30° in right triangle is half the hypotunese, x, we know that 6 is half of x.

6 · 2 =12

Side y.

Use the pythagorean theorem to find side y

\sqrt{a^(2) +b^(2) }=c

we have c, which is x, and we need a, which is y,

so we subtract
c^(2) -b^(2)

12^2 - 6^2

144-36=108

√(108) is not a perfect square

so factor,

√(108)= 6 √(3)

6*6= 36*3 = 108, 6 is the perfect square so bring out
