John’s dog slept for 3 hours. If the dog snored every 1/3 of an hour, how many times did he snore?

1 snore = 1/3 hour. ===> x amount of snores = 3 hours ===> 3 = 9/3 which is (1*9)/3 hours. This means that if you multiply the original equation by 9 on both sides, you get 3 hours = 9 snores.
