A few days after his birthday, a RETIRED mathematics teacher was musing. He realised that his age was a prime number. He then noticed that a year ago, his age was the product of 3 distinct prime numbers and, a year hence his age would be the product of a square number, and a cube number.

How old is he?

He is 71 which is a prime number.
A year ago he was 70 which is 2x5x7 all prime and distinct (different). In a years time he will be 72 which is 8 cubed x 3 squared.
