Answer:

The excerpt from “Indian Relations” in the reading Of Plymouth Plantation describes the relationship between the Plymouth colonists and the American Indians. The Plymouth colonists were in need of help because half of their people were dead due to illness and the rest were struggling. To add to their problems, their relationship with nearby American Indian groups wasn't working. At this time, Samoset, an American Indian leader, helped the colonists get acquainted with the lifestyle of the American Indians and also introduced them to another American Indian called Squanto. Squanto and his people took the colonists to meet the Sachem, or leader, named Massasoit. After some friendly interaction, Massasoit and his people made a settlement with the Plymouth colonists to coexist peacefully.

It might be said that the most relevant part of the story is the experience Samoset had. When Samoset approaches them and talks in what can be called " broken English", they start wonder about it. What it more, he took in some English people from anglers who had previously gone to that area. The experience mentioned is related to the pilgrims and the Wampanoags encounter.
