Taking into account each term, it could be said that reflecting is used to confirm that you received the message (reflected responses). Paraphrasing is used to verify because it repeats what a patient had said by using other words or phrases.
Clarifying strategy confirms the information given. And productive silence (wait time) i used to form new thoughts or ideas.
Lastly, summarizing is the strategy used to condense all the information a patient provided. It should state the main points and ideas.
