Answer: either a parasitic infection or an allergic (hypersensitivity) reaction There are two main reasons why people have eosinophilia. Eosinophilia its when there are more eosinophils in the blood than normal. This problem can be caused by an allergic reaction (asthma, hay fever, drug allergies) or by a parasites infection (more common in the developing world).
