The four elements of the compensation plan for sales people are fixed amount, variable amount, expenses and fringe benefits. By definition, fixed amount is straight salary, variable amount is salary and bonus commission, expenses are necessary expenses paid for and fringe benefits is extra benefits like a company car, umbrella, etc.
