R-organisms reproduce at a very high rate. Knowing this, why dont they usually reach their capacity?

a.they live in environments with many predators that feed on them
b. they r regularly killed off by disease and or drought
c. their life span is too short
d. a and b only

Answer - C. Their life span is too short

Reasoning - It is because R-organisms have structures that can not keep up the pace for its survival needs and reproduction can sometime alter the gene and chromatic DNA.
R-organisms reproduce at a very high rate. Knowing this, why dont they usually reach-example-1
