High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) - Also known as anaerobic endurance, this system of training ensures that voluntary muscles of the body can keep working for longer periods of time, through repeated contractions. This can be done by alternating between periods of high intensity sprints and low intensity brisk walking or jogging during the training phase. Higher intensity periods are kept short, while the low intensity phases are longer.
