We are given price per square yard of a fabric = $1.25.

Let us assume total number of square yard of the fabric = x square yards.

And let us assume function f(x) is given by Total price of the fabric.

Total price of the fabric = Price per square yard of a fabric × total number of square yard of the fabric.

We took total number of square yard of the fabric by a variable x and price per square yard of a fabric is $1.25.

Plugging values in above statement, we get

f(x) = 1.25 × x

f(x) = 1.25x.

Therefore, f(x) = 1.25x function shows a fabric with a price of $1.25 per square yard.
