Hi there!
Let's us Substitution, as it appears to be the easiest one. We can solve the second equation for y.
Now that we have found the expression for y, we can substitute it back into the first equation.
Next, just solve for x.
We have found the x-value of the system of equation, now we have to find the y-value. To do this, we can substitute the derived x-value into any equation, I'll be doing it in the first equation. When we substitute -2/7 into the first equation and solve for y, we get -11/7. Therefore, the solutions to the system of equations are
-2/7 and -11/7
