6(x + 4)+1

To simplify this, first, you want to get rid of the parenthesis.
To do that, use the distributive property, and distribute the 6 to everything inside the parenthesis, by multiplying it to everything inside the parenthesis.

So:

6(x + 4) + 1 -> 6 * x + 6 * 4 + 1

Then just multiply.

6x + 24 + 1

Then simplify.

6x + 25

5 + 8 (3 + x)

Again, do the same thing, and use the distributive property to distribute 8 to 3 and x.

5 + 8 * 3 + 8 * x

5 + 24 + 8x

29 + 8x
