Hello! Slope is rise/run. The formula for finding slope is y2 - y1 / x2 - x1. That means subtract the first y-coordinate from the second y-coordinate and the first x-coordinate from the second x-coordinate. Let’s plug in the values. -5 - 9 / -2 - (-2). Okay. -5 - 9 is 14 and -2 - (-2) is 0. You would get 14/0, which is also considered an undefined slope, because the number (14) is divided by zero and the x-coordinate is the same. That also means that the line is vertical and goes up and down. The slope is undefined.
