Suzanne summoned up all her courage and approached the yellow house. she rang the doorbell and smiled as she waited for someone to open the door. in her right hand, she had samples of greeting cards she was trying to sell. In her left hand, she carried an order pad and a pen. She was ready to make her first sale. Then she realized that she had been standing there for several minutes, and she had heard no noise from within. She had rang the doorbell again. She waited again. She took a deep breath. I guess no one is at home, she said and turned to leave.

Maybe someone is here, she thought as she walked hesitantly up the steps to the green house next door. Her courage was quickly dwindling. Her resolve to be a good salesperson was getting shaky. She pressed the doorbell and put a smile on her face. Her heart quickened when she heard footsteps.

Answer:

Point of view

Step-by-step explanation:

The element that is most highlighted here is the point of view. We learn that, in this passage, the main character is Suzanne. We learn the story of how she wants to be a good salesman. The story is told from a third person omniscient, or limited third person omniscient perspective. We learn everything about what Suzanne thinks and feels at that moment, and this point of view allows us to understand the story in a better way.
