We have the general rule of a translation of a function horizontally:


g(x)=f(x+k)

where k is the number of units of the translation. Also, we have that if k < 0, then the translation is to the right, while if k > 0, the translation is to the left.

Now, in this case we have that the vertex of the parabola is located in the point (1,0), then, f(x) is the following function:


f(x)=(x-1)^2

We have that g(x) = (x+2)^2, then, using the translation, we have the following:
